Ken Saro-Wiwa’s Son Dies Of COVID-19 In the United Kingdom. Menegian Saro-Wiwa is reported to have died in hospital following complications with COVID-19.
Menegian, son of Ken Saro-Wiwa, the late environmental activist, has died from coronavirus in Britain, reports Gossipzone247.
He died in hospital on Monday following complications with COVID-19.
Noo Saro-Wiwa, the deceased’s sister, made that known through a Facebook post on Thursday.
She said her brother, who was born in 1970, had underlying health conditions prior to contracting the lethal virus.
He’s survived by a son, Louis, she added.
She said, “We said goodbye to my brother, Gian, on Monday. He had COVID-19 combined with underlying health conditions.
“Gian was the smartest and most talented out of all of us: a champion sprinter at school, a poet, an artist, budding engineer, a self-taught guitarist and pianist. But mental health issues limited his life from age 16 onwards.”
She describes her late brother as “a kind and beautiful soul, always wanting the best for his family, always praying for our future success while being eternally optimistic about his own. And, of course, always loved his music”.
According to the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, over a dozen of Nigerians had died of the virus in the US and the UK.
