Three teenagers and one other have been sentenced to five years imprisonment for escaping from police custody.
The Osogbo Magistrates’ Court convicted Adeleke Azeez, 20; Segun Isola, 18; Maliq Odewale, 18; and Pelumi Ayoola, 15.
The convicts were earlier arraigned on a three-count charge bordering on unlawful escape and willful damage of police station.
The convicts were earlier remanded at Ilesa Correctional Center on July 28, 2020.
In his judgment, Magistrate Abayomi Ajala sentenced the convicts to two years imprisonment for the first count charge, two years for second count charge and one year for third count charge to run concurrently or option of fine of N9,000 with six stroke of cane each.

He alleged that the convicts willfully damaged the iron door and the roofing sheet of Dugbe police station and escaped from custody.
The offence committed was contrary to and punishable under Sections 516, 135(a) and 151(b) Cap 34 Vol ll Law of Osun State 2002.
Defence Counsel, Adedoyin Ajewole prayed the court to caution and discharge the convicts saying the convicts are young and if sentenced, may be corrupted at the Correctional Centre.
