Helicopter with 3 persons on board crashed into the garage of a two storey building named Fusi House killing two people on board including the pilot and an occupant.
The deceased has since been taken to the morgue while the third occupant is said to be responding to treatment at the Lagos state University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH.
Currently, the investigators of the Accident Investigation Bureau, AIB are examining the wreckage of the aircraft.
Some documents onboard the ill-fated helicopter have been recovered by the AIB investigators and efforts are on to recover the black box of the helicopter.
The Lagos State Police Commissioner, Hakeem Odumosu and his officers are ensuring the mammoth crowd are effectively controlled to avoid hampering rescue and safety operations.
Mr Odumosu, said the crash site had been condoned off and officers stationed around the areas to prevent anyone from tempering with vital materials that would assist AIB to unravel the cause of the crash.
Officials of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN Fire Service and its ambulances are at the scene of the accident.
Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA Road Safety Corps, Nigeria Civil Defence Corps, National Emergency Management Agency, Lagos State Neighborhood Corps.
Also speaking on the accident, the General Manager, LASEMA, Mr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu explained that when they received the distress call, they immediately swung into action with the deployment of its officers to the area.
